Laura, I just read Jane's post. Thank you so very much for being bold and sharing your journey. I have recently begun experiencing Fibromyalgia symptoms and I am terrified. I have felt directed by the Lord to go Raw to try and heal, but I have been confused about whether it will really be necessary, wondering if cooked Vegan would still heal me. Your story is an answer to my confusion and prayers, and will help me stick to Raw.
I am so thankful I am not trying to go Raw starting from a SAD diet. I went cooked Vegan in 2013 after the Lord pointed me that way to heal depression. I maintained it for a year, it was amazing! Though I didn't keep it up and slipped to Vegetarian, I now have the base of knowledge I need to go Raw. Your story is the final piece to the puzzle. Now I just need to keep the 80/10/10 balance.
I do have a question. Years ago my husband met an LDS Raw Vegan that was an 80 year old Ironman Triathlete. He healed from Cancer years before with Raw and ate Raw the rest of his life. He ate soaked Raw wheat berries. Three days of soaking. Have you tried soaking and sprouting of raw beans and grains at all? I know Tannyraw on YouTube eats Raw Lentil sprouts. I am just wondering how that could fit in 80/10/10. Anyway, thank you so much again. And I am Singer/Songwriter as well BTW, just haven't performed a ton the last few years. :). Blessings to you for sharing your story.
Hi Bonnie! So glad you found me! Stay raw!!! I have sprouted grains but....don't like them so much. Dr. Graham doesn't recommend them as he doesn't think they are human food because it doesn't taste good on its own and isn't really recognizable to humans as food.
